While it was sad that Bea Arthur bowed out at the last moment, it was such a thrill to watch the first episode on a big screen with White and McClanahan and Susan Harris, among others, only a few seats away. BTW I knew that Getty was forgetful but I had no idea her stage fright was such an issue. She could have fooled me.
