In the early '60s, she came to my high school (Villa Maria Academy in Country Club in the Bronx, NY) and spoke to our class. She was a friend of the nun who was the school librarian. 60-odd high school girls were overwhelmed by her voice, poise, and beauty. It was a treat.

My favorite Rosalind Russell off-screen quip: She dubbed Church of the Good Shepherd, the fashionable Beverly Hills parish of all Roman Catholic stars, "Our Lady of the Cadillacs."
